"Accidents Happen"

All righty... this is the blurb and excerpt for book one of my detective series, also contracted by Silk's Vault. See what you all think of this.

BLURB: When Marti’s best friend suddenly dies, a series of “accidental deaths” rise from the ashes. Jen was an Investigative Reporter sticking her nose where it didn’t belong, but now Marti has to finish what her friend started. But Jen didn't have the support that Marti had.

Jorge was an informant on the inside of the crime ring, his ear low to the ground. He didn't ask for much in exchange for information, just a quick tumble or two.

Eddie was still on the force and he was a great friend besides who liked to raid her fridge and whatever else happened to be laying around, including Marti herself. But as the clues start building, how does Marti console herself with her two men? One is supposed to be the bad guy, and the other is supposed to be the hero. Where will Marti go when Accidents Happen?

UNEDITED EXCERPT:
…They reached her bedroom and Marti rummaged through her linen closet for the massage oils. “Take your shirt off and lay on the bed.” She found what she needed and turned around to find Jorge laying on his back in only his white boxer briefs. “That’s not what I meant when I said lay down.” She shook her head and laughed to keep herself from mounting him. He was evenly tanned from head to toe, and she swore his chest was more rippled and smooth than she remembered.

“Come on, babe, you know this way is more fun.” He turned slightly on his side and winked at her.

She put her hands on her hips, ready to scold. “Jorge, we both know this will only get us in trouble. Turn over or you get no massage.”

“Fine, I’ll turn over, but since when have you been afraid of a little trouble?” He leaned his weight up on his elbow and stared at her. He still had a soft spot for her. He never got over her completely, and probably never would. He was just glad she was still a part of his life.

She walked over to the bed and attempted to roll him herself. “I’m not afraid of trouble.”

“Good.” He took her arm, pulled her down to him and kissed her. He looked deep into her eyes when he pulled her back up. “Now was that so bad?” He let go of her arm and turned over onto his stomach. “I hope that’s the coconut oil I bought you. I like the smell of it.”

Damn him. “I know you do, and yes it is.” She poured some oil into her hands and got up on the bed. Being that Jorge was a big man, she had to straddle him and sit on his butt while she rubbed his back. She could feel him relax under her expert hands as a moan escaped him. She tried to keep her composure and concentrate only on giving him a massage, but her body was sending her different signals. The kind of signals she needed to ignore. “Your muscles are pretty tight. What have you been doing?”

“Working out at the gym more. I was getting pudgy.” He laughed. “It’s helped with my flexibility too.” He lifted himself beneath her and turned over onto his back before Marti could regain her balance and protest.

Now she wasn’t sitting on his butt anymore, and this tight muscle moved. “Jorge!”

He sat up and wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing her hard against his chest. They were nose to nose. His breath was warm on her lips as he came in closer and kissed her.

She wanted to pull away, but her brain wasn’t listening. It had been too long and she really did miss the great chemistry they had together. What could she say, she was weak. He was the only man who could make her scream. She gave in to the temptation. She wrapped her arms around his neck and brought her legs around his waist. There was no turning back now.
